It’s So Feathery!
It especially scared him when he accidentally pulled it off the table, despite being secured with a suction cup. Even so, it only took a day for him to start ignoring it completely, even while it was moving.

My mom got Zack a new toy.
I don’t know why, because cats only ignore anything actually designed to entertain them.
Zack: Oo! A candy wrapper!
But this thing moves the toy automatically! Cats are enamored with anything that moves-
Zack: What is that?! Why is it making that sound?! I’m scared.
Heh, Heh! Isn’t that always the way?
There’s a joke from the 1950s or 1970s about: You spend $300 on a [toy] pedal car for your kid, and he instead spends all week playing in the box that it came in!
I guess some cats do that, too! :)
I had considered getting my aunt’s cats some gifts last Christmas, but I knew it would be pointless, especially with all the fun wrapping paper scattered about.
Yesterday I had a win-win situation. I had to replace my old 700 watt microwave(finally!) and Zack absolutely LOVES the box the new 1200 watt microwave came in. Unfortunately for him, HIS win will only be around for less than a week.
