Spoiled Skunk
The year is 2132
Death: Who is a good skunk? You are! Yes you are!
Death: You need your belly rubbed! You need your head rubbed! You need-
Death: Ouch!
Death: You know you’re not supposed to bite, Scythee!
Kenny: No she doesn’t.
(The skunk is sniffing her finger and is likely to bite that, too. Thankfully her left arm is robotic & she wouldn’t feel the bite. Um, does this info go into the subtitles?)
The automatic translation of the transcript is pretty terrible you know : P
Yeah, I know. That's why I have it set to let people edit the translations via the checkbox under the language selection box. That adds an icon next to each sentence that lets people edit how something is translated.
Hopefully the translations help non-English speakers a little, but I know how bad some translations can be, even if it's worded in a way that's easier to translate. I do edit the Spanish translations sometimes, if I see something that I know is wrong. I've even edited the Italian and German translations at least once.
I finally looked at the Spanish translation. Wow, it didn't even translate "skunk"! Twice! In fact, most other translations didn't translate it! That's very weird, considering how common that word is. I've fixed that error in Spanish, French, Italian, German, Dutch, and Portugese. I also fixed the wording in the last panel so that other languages will translate "skunk" properly(Starting the note in parenthesis with "The skunk" instead of just "Skunk").
I'm sure the translation is still terrible, but at least it's not as terrible as before. I need to look at the translations more often.
Oh, and I meant to add that names are intentionally excluded from translations, including Death. Some characters would receive multiple names, and that would just be confusing.
I don't know if I'll fix the translation of the title. No translation that I looked at had translated, except switching the two words around.
