Had one of these apps log me out yesterday before I could use it… except it didn’t say it logged me out. It loaded the coupon descriptions, but simply failed to load the coupon with no explanation. Good thing I was already expecting it to fail.

This is me when restaurants started having their own apps: "Woo-hoo! Buy 5 Hyper-Ferret drinks and get 1 free!"
In reality, it's more like, "Hold on, it's still trying to load the coupon", or "Oops, forgot to show the app to the cashier", or "The app wants me to accept new terms and conditions".
In the end, I decided, "Oh forget the 2 for 1 coupon. I need my chocolate ice cream NOW!"
